We’ve been busy this spring and have some exciting things to share:
New Guest Suite: Carolyn’s Overlook
Finally, we are proud to announce the opening of our 14th guest suite, named fondly for our prior owner, Carolyn’s Overlook. As the name suggests, this first class apartment suite is on the second floor of the Carriage House and has great views of our 1800’s barn and adjacent farmland.
The suite offers a master bedroom suite with gas fireplace and soaking tub, a second bedroom, a full kitchen, meeting space for 10 and a cozy sitting room. There is even a TV!
New Walkway & Patio
We received lots of feedback regarding our narrow walkway from the parking lot to the main house, and with that as a prompt, we built a brick and bluestone patio outside of the main door of the Manor House.
In addition to a wider, safer walkway, we now offer our guests inviting views of surrounding farmland, while enjoying a new fountain, our garden and of course the sheep. In the same area we also built a stone fire pit which has already been used by many guests and a few wedding parties. Bring on the s’mores!
Wedding Tent Update & Relocation
Our wedding tent has been moved from the front of our property and is now nestled among trees and the sheep behind the Horseshoe Garden where we normally hold a wedding ceremony.
We purchased a brand new Gable Keder Style tent with a permanent plywood platform and integrated hard wood dance floor. Chandeliers, twinkle lights create a festive look enhanced with colors of your choosing.
Our great lawn our front is now wide open, creating unobstructed views to and from the Inn, and also providing great space for old fashioned lawn games!
