Culinary Experiences at Woolverton Inn

Chef Lance Knowling made his mark at every level of the culinary scene. His vast experience ranges from working at upscale hotels, caterers, and fine dining restaurants in the New York City metropolitan area, to opening several of his own highly acclaimed restaurants in northern New Jersey.

When we first dreamed of bringing Northridge to life, we knew we needed someone extraordinary to help build it….and that person was Chef Lance Knowling.  From the ground up Chef Lance shaped our kitchen, our dining spaces and the culinary program that has come to define the Northridge experience.  He poured his talent, passion and mentorship into every corner of this place, and into the team that carries it forward every day.

As Chef Lance shifts his focus to exciting new ventures, the Northridge restaurant kitchen will be overseen by Chef de Cuisine, Lamar Porter.  A New Jersey native with a career forged in New York City’s most demanding kitchens and high-profile venues, Lamar has spent the past year training directly under Chef Lance, developing the seasonal, ingredient-driven approach and attention to detail that our guests have come to expect from Northridge.

We could not be more grateful for everything that Chef Lance has brought to Northridge.  His legacy lives on in our team, our menus, and every plate that leaves our kitchen.  Thank you for making this dream a reality!
