Woolverton Inn Granola

  • 3 / 4 Cup maple syrup
  • 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 Tablespoons butter, unsalted
  • 3 Tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 4 Cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • 3 / 4 Cup sliced almonds
  • 1 / 2 Cup chopped pecans
  • 1 / 4 dried cranberries or currants
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon

*Dark Brown Sugar can be eliminated for less sweet variety

Cook Maple Syrup, butter, vanilla and brown sugar until boil then turn off.

Mix Remaining ingredients in a large bowl, pouring half the maple syrup mixture over oat mixture. Mix well.

Line large baking pan with parchment paper.

Spread the sticky oats mixture over paper in a thin layer.

Drizzle remaining maple syrup mixture over thin layer of sticky oat mixture.

Sprinkle cinnamon over mixture and bake for 12-15 minutes.

Let cool completely on paper.

Break in loose chunks NOT in tiny little pieces.

Store in freezer in airtight container for up to a month.

Bake at 350 for 15-20 min
