Washington Crossing Re-enactment

Our Special Guest

We are delighted to have a guest speaker join us from nearby Washington Crossing Historical Park, to discuss  the annual re-enactment of George Washington and crew crossing the Delaware River. This event is especially meaningful to us, because  St. John Terrell, one of the former resident owners of Woolverton Inn (called North Ridge at the time), created this historic annual event. (We’re hoping to find some photos or video footage of the first re-enactments to share.)
Washington crossing the Delaware re-enactment
George Washington’s Christmas Day crossing of the Delaware River happened near Washington Crossing Historic Park, about ten  miles from our Inn! This event is re-enacted yearly on Dec 25th.
