Our Wine Pairing Dinner in November was a lively and memorable evening. Many thanks to Joe Maxian, owner of Sand Castle Winery, who graciously shared his knowledge as well as some wonderful stories. Angel and Ed prepared a fantastic meal. Our dining room and newly renovated front porch (heated and enclosed) provided a perfectly friendly yet still romantic setting for dinner. Kailea, Amy and Matthew served everyone with a smile.
Our 3rd on site dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 2019. This time we have chosen an Art Theme, and local Bucks County Artist Jerry Cable will be our guest of honor. We are thrilled to welcome such a talented painter to join us for the evening, sharing his inspiration and showcasing some of his latest works. Several of Jerry’s paintings are on display in our main house. His work has been popular with Woolverton guests, perhaps because they connect naturally with our tranquil, rustic setting.
“The subjects I paint reflect the romance and tranquility of another era. They are an evolution of my memories growing up on the family farm interwoven with my personal journeys. Although my goal is to capture a specific scene, my paintings are often interpretations of memories recalled by the subjects I paint. I enjoy creating an alternative environment where viewers can escape the turbulence of everyday life and connect with their inner stillness. Embracing that stillness is what brings us to awareness of the beauty that is all around us.”
