Favorite Fall Festivals
You will find that there is no shortage of hayrides, pumpkin patches, crafts, ghost tours, or delicious seasonal treats here. It can be difficult to choose how and where to experience the festivities. Below are just a few favorites, don’t hesitate to ask us for more!
Bucks County Book Fest
What: A celebration of the literary arts, join 40 professionally published authors for two days of all things reading and writing. From children’s literature and illustrations and young adult fiction and nonfiction panels, to writing workshops and book signings, this is a dream weekend for book nerds and creatives. Most events are free.
Where: Discover Doylestown, about 20 minutes from the Inn

OctoberFEAST
What: Exactly what you would hope for (and more), get ready to fill up on beer and bratwurst during the 4th Annual OctoberFEAST. Enjoy the traditional Bavarian brews and German grub, as well as live music from the Philadelphia German Brass Band. There will also be non-traditional treats to sample. Free admission!
Where: Peddler’s Village in neighboring New Hope, only 10 minutes from the Inn

Crafts in the Meadow Invitational Craft Show
What: Fine art and crafts from 120 artists will be featured throughout this 2-day event. Enjoy live music and performances, and refreshments as you peruse the craftsmanship. Admission is $7.

Froelich’s Farm Fall Festival
What: Fall fun on this 107-acre farm in Furlong, PA. Get ready for hayrides, pumpkin picking, face painting, pony rides, a corn maze, inflatable obstacle course, fantastic food and local brews! Free admission, open to all ages.

HorrorFest
What: Face your fears and get into the spirit with these four thrilling HorrorFest attractions: the Hayride of Horror, Barn of Horror, Alien 3-D Encounter, and Carnage! Admission ranges from $20-$50

PumpkinFest
What: A perfect seasonal celebration with classic fall favorites like wagon rides, apple and pumpkin picking, local craft beer and wine tastings, and more! Weekday admission is $10; weekend admission is $17 and starts at 5pm on Friday.

When: October 5 – 31, 2018, 11am – 5pm. *Pumpkin Fest After Dark hours go until 8pm.
Fall Harvest Festival
What: With over 45 activities for adults and children, you can easily spend a whole day on this 18-acre farm and adventure park! In addition to the classics, try your hand at pumpkin bowling, take a ride down a 100-ft corn chute slide, or zip line through the park courses. Admission is $9.99 Monday-Friday and $12.99 Saturday-Sunday.

Apple Festival
What: Celebrate apple season in Bucks County with a fun-filled – and delicious- weekend! The 45th Annual Apple Festival in Peddler’s Village is open to all and free to attend.

Awesome Autumn Activities
Explore Peddler’s Village
Home to some of the best fall events like the aforementioned OctoberFEAST and Apple Fest, Peddler’s Village is just a great place to wander through, shop and eat. Also, it’s especially fun this year as there will be life-size scarecrows on display! You can vote for your favorites before October 8th.
Check Out Local Farmer’s Markets
What better way to get an authentic taste of Bucks County than to go straight to the source at one of our many nearby farmer’s markets? Choose which one is open during your stay and stroll and sample your way through the stands featuring the best local produce and flavors.
A favorite amongst our guests, simply walking along the Delaware River’s 40-mile towpath is a fantastic way to familiarize yourselves with this beautiful area. Walking distance from the Inn and with many paths to nearby parks like Ralph Stover State Park, Bowmans Tower and Wildflower Preserve, and Sourland Mountain.
Bike Through the Colorful Countryside
If you’re looking for a fun outdoor adventure, we couldn’t recommend cycling along the Delaware River more during this time of year. Visit a Nearby Winery or Brewery
A favorite activity any time of year, but even more so in the fall. A perfect time for tasting both whites and reds, and of course the many seasonal ales that are always fun to sample. Lucky for you, there are several local wineries and breweries close by and we’d be more than happy to recommend the best based on your preferences. New favorites include Great Barn Brewery and The Salt House in New Hope.
Pick Apples at a Local Vineyard
Fun for families and couples, apple picking is a classic fall pastime in this part of the country and there are a few beautiful orchards in the area to spend your afternoon.
See the Jack-O-Lanterns on the Delaware Canal
If you’re visiting us between October 28th and November 3rd this year, be sure to head down to the Delaware Canal for the annual Canal-O-Ween! Take a stroll along the glowing site of 300+ Jack-O-Lanterns lighting up the banks of the canal.
