LGBT Friendly Wedding Venue
The Woolverton Inn has a 40-plus year heritage of providing fine hospitality to all guests. Weddings and events are a part of that heritage as the Inn lends itself perfectly to hosting families and friends for their special celebrations — from small, intimate gatherings to larger receptions of up to 200 guests. We are perfectly located between NY and Philadelphia, and proud to welcome people from all backgrounds and ways of life, with diverse visions and dreams for their perfect wedding day.
Sometimes, our wedding couples are long time fans of the our bed and breakfast near New Hope, PA and when they finally decide to get married, we are their chosen place – no question. But more often, people find us by referrals, or by searching and asking questions. Do you allow same-sex weddings? The answer is, of course!
Woolverton Weddings are very special and absolutely inclusive. We’ve created perfect spaces across our ten acres of pastoral land for you to make our place feel like yours. Gather your friends in the field by the barn and have a barbecue on the night before the wedding. We’ll make the fire pit, you bring the food truck (and some beer).
Give your families and friends time to meet or reconnect – there’s nothing like the gorgeous outdoors to invigorate your senses, and our 5 sheep will bring you back to nature at its best. Relax, restore, renew, and get married !!
We often have the unique opportunity to host our wedding clients for a weekend, not just a few hours, and in these cases our guests become friends and join the extended Woolverton family. We can see the connections forging as guests spend time with each other in a relaxing way – enjoying a leisurely breakfast outside on the patio catching up with family, making last minute plans, scoping the property for perfect photo ops, planning the lawn games, sitting on the patio as they wait for the ceremony, or taking a walk on the tow path by the Delaware River.
Ceremonies are usually held in the Horseshoe Garden surrounded by seasonal flowers and adjacent to the historic 1792 stone Manor House. Cocktail hours can take place on the patio or front porch, or on the Great Lawn beneath the shade of towering Magnolia and Sycamore trees. Dinner receptions are hosted in a secluded corner of the property, adjacent to the planting fields and catered with a four-course gourmet dinner beneath a beautiful tent atop a permanent wood platform.
We just have to share a few favorite examples of how weddings can be personalized at the Woolverton Inn. How about having a movie night, following your rehearsal? Who doesn’t love the classic film Singing in the Rain? We rented a blow up movie screen, brought in pizzas and beer, and settled down for a night at the movies – right here on our property – like the old fashioned drive ins – bring on the popcorn please !
Another unique feature was renting vintage furniture to create a cozy corner under the tent for the wedding reception. After all that dancing, it feels good to lounge a bit, then get back up onto the dance floor !
Check out the home made wedding cake in the photo below. Friends used our dining room to frost and decorate the cake – gorgeous and delicious!
We can’t help but share a few of the many kind words we hear back from our happy couples:
“Thank you for the perfect wedding anyone could ask for!”………Groom, August 2018
